The winners of Healthwatch Rochdale Youthwatch Poster Competition have been announced at a Zoom meeting last night following judging on Monday 8th March.
Youthwatch Poster Winners

The poster competition was run to help promote the launch of the upcoming Youthwatch with three top prizes of a £50 Amazon voucher and 5 runner up prizes of a £10 Amazon voucher. Entries were judged by Naomi Kenyon from Healthwatch Rochdale, Laura Augustine from Action Together and Dawn Pierson from Skylight Circus.

The winner for the age 13 -14 category and a £50.00 Amazon voucher was Jennifer Wong from Falinge Park High School.

The winner for the age 15-16 category and a £50.00 Amazon voucher was Amina Mehmood from Rochdale Islamic Academy.

The winner for the group category and a £50.00 Amazon voucher was Art Attack Group, Barnardos.

5 entries will each receive a runner up prize of a £10 Amazon voucher.

Entrants were asked to design an eye-catching persuasive poster with images and graphics to encourage young people to join Youthwatch.

Youthwatch will build on the current work of Healthwatch Rochdale, specifically focusing on enabling the youth voice to be heard and will be made up of representatives aged 13-18 years old.

Our new Youthwatch will be led by the young people of the Rochdale borough and will help us understand the experiences of young people who use health and social care services and make sure that the youth of Rochdale have a say in how local health and care services are shaped. We launched our poster competition to make sure that Youthwatch was led by young people from the start. Our first Youthwatch meeting will take place in April and we are looking forward to working with representatives and helping to give young people a voice
